In which directions are confusing...

Managed to finish my secret santa gift yesterday afternoon and while checking out the submitting instructions I realized that when my assigned person was switched so was the mediums they'd wanted. It was the first person that wanted graphics or fic... the second person it didn't say what they wanted...

After I'd spent hours working on two pretty cool looking graphics! So I sent them in with the email to let me know if I need to desperately scrawl out a fic instead and apologizing for not noticing sooner!

As I was typing this I got an email back and everything is okay. They contacted my giftee who is okay with receiving graphics instead! I still feel kind of bad but at least I don't have to try and scrawl out a fic with my muse for that show not really feeling like playing in the sandbox.

Today I have to go outside since I haven't been outside in a few days and I don't want to cause myself undue anxiety by avoiding it for too much longer and clean the kitchen. Wee. I also want to work on my Miraculous Ladybug fics so that they get an update this week.

I also want to write out a few more Christmas themed drabbles and ficlets and post all the icons I've been making.

I also just want to curl up in the bathtub with some bubble bath and never leave.

This year was my first Secret Santa, and I didn't realize how stressful they can be. It was one of my attempts at getting back into fandom and there was a lot of stress. I'm glad you got yours done on time! Congrats!! :)

It did, thank you! I had it submitted a week or so early, and had a few bumbles -- I'm not part of the LJ community so I missed out on pretty much ALL of the announcements ^_^; But I'm so so glad that I did it.

And stressful! Haha. But I was happy to do it, happy to finish it (I'm awful with deadlines), and I'm happy it got posted. :) So, no matter what I'm proud of myself. And I'm happy to be writing fic again!

Yeah, I struggle with deadlines to but I love contributing to fandom. ^_^

My muse has been out and about since the start of this month for the first time in forever. :-)

I have a lot of bunnies I want to write before my muse goes away on vacation again. ^_^

I signed up as an artist for a big bang once. I learned my lesson never to do it again because life happened and time ran away from me. I got something done, but I wasn't exactly happy with it.

Yeah.

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with secret santas and the like. On one hand I love creating things but I want people to see them and like them. On the other hand sometimes it's not specific what the giftee wants or in this case whether or not my giftee wanted fic or graphics since it had been switched.

I'm quite pleased by the graphics I made using their prompts of canon kiss/emotional moments. One reason I struggled with fic is that for that show the only kiss is an angsty cheek kiss as she walks away...

But yeah, sometimes I wish I didn't sign up to do them.

Now that I think of it - I did at least two secret santas where I wrote stories. Since I forgot all about them they probably weren't too bad. Or I'm just too focused on my lengthy list of stories I can post - I only have to decide if I want to post stories for fandoms I haven't been part of in years (potentially even in a decade)

^_^ I thankfully tend to develop amnesia about my fics after awhile.

Hmm on one hand you should post them but on the other hand people might ask for more. :-)

I'm more worried about flag about it being "wrong" canon wise since I don't remember enough about the shows and/or never actually finished watching the shows and in most cases (e.g. House MD) I also don't really feel the need to get back into them - even if I remember them fondly.
