My new motherboard is here... will my computer turn on for the first time in months or will it be stop hammer time?
My thoughts have been all over the place ever since last week when after my Ian said he'd like to have a child in the next year or two.
Long blog post and over due responses to come soon. Now I have to test my beloved computer out to see if we are really back.

As for a child in the next years - I have faith that it'll work out :)

Date: 2013-10-10 02:14 pm (UTC)I'm glad to be back! It feels like forever since I managed communication with someone other than Ian!
It's more that he sprung it upon me after years of him not wanting children, and after I'd decided to apply to school for an intense major(Chemistry BS, followed by pharmacy school) something I don't want to major in if I'm going to have children since I feel a parent should be at home... and of course all sorts of lovely Dani has more issues than a magazine that she's still having trouble getting out even on paper. There will be a long blog entry in my future if I can ever get the thoughts to slow down...
But we'll see... It could be fun. I did want to be a preschool teacher at one time because that age is fun to teach! ^_^

Date: 2013-10-10 04:15 pm (UTC)Well, I can see how that timing was a bit off! There are all kinds of decisions connected to that one. How long would you want to stay at home? Until they're old enough to move out or until they go to school for most of the day?
I'd imagine I'd end up bored once they were at school or kindergarten for most of the day (or however long it takes. On the other hand, that could also be filled with studying. I can agree on staying home until they're old enough and only working a couple of hours after that once they're at school or so to pass some of the time. It's really difficult to find a good balance there that makes everyone happy!
