404 motivation not found

I sorted through icons trying to clear out some duplicates and get things organized into folders until I got dizzy in the evening.

Luckily Ian was home and could help me down the stairs if he hadn't been, well that's why we keep pillows and blankets near the futon.

I got a few hours of sleep and woke up starving and with my headache lessened a little bit before midnight, I wanted to watch fantastic beasts but I just wasn't feeling focused.

I did manage to organize the shopping list and come up with a menu plan.

Ian's not feeling motivated this morning to go to the market and the store and I'm not sure I've got enough motivation to motivate him into going. He might be able to get away with bargaining.

I've got beans boiling for chili... so it's not like we don't have food for today.

I've got to write a FS story for a fest but I hate the prompt I was given. I hate it so much. I try and think about it and my brain has no ideas. But I'll try and scrawl something out and fast. Maybe I won't hate it as much later.

I've also got icon making to do, icon organization to do...

And all I want to do is go back to bed until my neck and head stop hurting.

I tend to switch between sorting (and then changing my mind and resorting) the icons, typing up, youtube (which at times runs parallel to the other things) and commenting. Just so I don't have to stick with the same thing all the time.

Yay for the headach been less bad.

As long as you still have food :D
I like pushing it off as well... however, as the majority of shops are closed on Sundays here, I typically have to go by Saturday.

I've had prompts like that before. Didn't they offer alternates? The few fests I participated in made everyone give a fall back prompt because not everything sparks the same inspiration into everyone. Also, yes, it does get easier once something's out there - and if you end up scrapping it and going elsewhere.

I'm glad I'm finally over and done with organizing my icons. I'm uploading for the last two stock categories...

*hugs*

It can be difficult. I think I motivated myself by printing a list with the fandoms (and stock) folders I have and then just crossed them off. I started with the fandoms I liked and then I could motivated myself with how much I had already crossed off :)
I actually caved and created a second icon folder. One for all the stuff I ever created with subfolders for the png/jpg files (which I have a backup of) and another folder with the psds I still have and then. And then I have a #icons folder for me to go to when I want to upload new userpics. That way I can delete whatever icons I want without actually losing them.

Heavy traffic sucks. I try to check advertisements for the cheapest produce, but I tend to forget. However, I roughly know what I'm willing to pay. I have to look for a market place close by though as I had promised myself to try and buy more locally. Although, most grocery stores are on the trend of offering local produce (although I'm not sure how local is local. It might be the direct surroundings or just the state vs. the whole of Germany or Europe)

They have to close on Sundays. I think outside of stores at train stations and gas stations, all stores are legally required to be closed on Sunday. Most of the stores I know of close by 8pm as well. A few stay open until 10pm. I think depending on state or city there are up to 4(?) open sundays a year allowed. Occasionally there are attempts to remove the law or at least weaken it, but there are plenty of political parties and labor unions against it - for the sake of the workers. I think to some extend it's also religiously motivated.
There have been times when I realised I forgot to buy something only to realise it was past 8pm on a Saturday.
Restaurants and so on are typically open and depending on how big they are (i.e. privately owned) they might close on Monday (or a different day of the week). I think they would complain if they weren't allowed to open on the weekend as that's when they make the most money :D

Especially in regard to that movie you haven't seen - couldn't you talk to whoever assigned the prompts? It's certainly unlucky to get assigned such a prompt.
