It can be difficult. I think I motivated myself by printing a list with the fandoms (and stock) folders I have and then just crossed them off. I started with the fandoms I liked and then I could motivated myself with how much I had already crossed off :)
I actually caved and created a second icon folder. One for all the stuff I ever created with subfolders for the png/jpg files (which I have a backup of) and another folder with the psds I still have and then. And then I have a #icons folder for me to go to when I want to upload new userpics. That way I can delete whatever icons I want without actually losing them.

Heavy traffic sucks. I try to check advertisements for the cheapest produce, but I tend to forget. However, I roughly know what I'm willing to pay. I have to look for a market place close by though as I had promised myself to try and buy more locally. Although, most grocery stores are on the trend of offering local produce (although I'm not sure how local is local. It might be the direct surroundings or just the state vs. the whole of Germany or Europe)

They have to close on Sundays. I think outside of stores at train stations and gas stations, all stores are legally required to be closed on Sunday. Most of the stores I know of close by 8pm as well. A few stay open until 10pm. I think depending on state or city there are up to 4(?) open sundays a year allowed. Occasionally there are attempts to remove the law or at least weaken it, but there are plenty of political parties and labor unions against it - for the sake of the workers. I think to some extend it's also religiously motivated.
There have been times when I realised I forgot to buy something only to realise it was past 8pm on a Saturday.
Restaurants and so on are typically open and depending on how big they are (i.e. privately owned) they might close on Monday (or a different day of the week). I think they would complain if they weren't allowed to open on the weekend as that's when they make the most money :D

Especially in regard to that movie you haven't seen - couldn't you talk to whoever assigned the prompts? It's certainly unlucky to get assigned such a prompt.
