Yay for feeling better! And for writing something even if it might or might not be awful :)

I've tried doing some writing sprints last year when I joined a discord server (only to then drop the majority of any kind of social media / social interactions online). It certainly was fun and I just wrote whatever came to mind... which wasn't my original idea, but the entire damn background to that idea :D

It can be quite hard to see how heritage disappears sometimes. I remember one of my Italian teachers bemoaning the fact that her grandchildren weren't learning Italian from their father (her son) because after her son realized that his language skills weren't sufficient to study in Italy, he decided it wasn't something worth passing on. She also had several 2nd/3rd generation Italians in her class that wanted to learn it. We also had someone who came to Germany as a child or teenager I remember either in the aftermath of the war or even during the war (I think) from either the Czech Republic or Poland and she personally had such terrible memories of it that she refused to speak the language.

And some teachers can be so critical of languages! My cousin spent a year in South Africa and learned English there, giving her a head start of about a year or so in comparison to when everyone else starts learning. When she did start learning English here in Germany, she had a teacher from London who remarked/complained (not sure which) that she spoke as if she had a hot potato in her mouth. There are countless dialects (probably in all languages) that it can be hard to say which one is correct and which one isn't. Some teachers are more flexible in that regard than others.

The worst thing about housework is getting started. And to not take breaks. I think I need about 15-30 minutes on average for the bathroom. With procrastination to start and taking breaks (to pick the next youtube video if I didn't pick one long enough or whatever) it turns into hours. And then I wonder where my Saturday disappeared to and why I only managed to get to the bathroom and kitchen... granted the other two rooms are mostly just tidying which I try to dedicate 5-10 minutes a couple of days a week to anyway. I just never know when I took care of the dust the last time. Or mopping the floors. I guess it's a good thing that I have no (known) allergies and no pets.
